David Church is the sole proprietor of Acorn Wills. He is a Fellow of the Institute of Legal Executives having qualified as a Legal Executive in 1973. He is also a Member of the Institute of Professional Willwriters.

His background is legal having been in the employment of solicitors throughout his career including eleven years with a City of London firm

As a Legal Executive he is regulated by ILEX Professional Standards Limited which regulates members of the Institute of Legal Executives. He is also regulated by the Institute of Professional Willwriters.

Despite the lack of government regulation of willwriting, members of the Institute of Legal Executives and Institute of Professional Willwriters undertake continuing professional development by attending seminars and workshops to keep abreast of new legislation and developments within the profession.
